Mini Session

I am absolutely loving shooting in my new Natural Light Photography Loft!  I was able to spend time with these cuties last week!!!  I loved how they brought their sport outfits with them!  They dressed so cute and then were able to actually getting into clothing that shows what they love doing!  This was a surprise for their Dads upcoming birthday!  What a great idea Mom!  I feel so very privileged to be able to take photos of children!  They have so much life ahead of them and knowing I was able to capture a small little piece of it truly makes me so very happy!!!  

Open House

Oh my goodness I had such a wonderful time at my Open House!  I am so blessed with such wonderful clients, great family and friends!  They made the evening such a wonderful experience!  Our evening could not have been what it was without the talents of musician Tom Drummonds!  He brought such wonderful music to the evening and truly was a joy to listen to!  If you are ever in need of a musician please consider seeking him out!  You can find him on facebook at www.facebook.com/TomDrummonds  One of the exciting parts of me moving into my new Photography Loft is that I am sharing it with a very talented photographer! Andrea Vicente and I are sharing the Loft, acting as our own businesses, but sharing the space.  Our connection was so unique and so meant to be!  We both took our first photography class from Kellee Laser.  I ended up speaking with Kellee last summer in reference to a workshop I was going to be taking in Chicago last summer.  In conversation Kellee mentioned that I should connect with Andrea Vicente, that she was another photographer who took from Kellee and started her own business. I reached out to Andrea and we both discovered we would both be in Chicago taking the same workshop. We ended up driving home together from Chicago and got to know each other.  We have kept in contact since the summer and when this opportunity came to sharing the space we both couldn't jump on it fast enough!  I am so very excited to be able to share such a wonderful space in our awesome city with a phenomenal woman! Andrea joined me at my Open House and was kind enough to take photos of the event.  I also will be taking photos at her Open House! Can't wait!

Open House. New Photography Loft

OPEN HOUSE

NEW NATURAL LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY LOFT

We are so excited to announce that next week is the grand opening of our new Photography Loft in Downtown Toledo! We have been working so hard on it and it looks amazing!!!!!!!!! It is a boutique style photography loft...very chic, very artistic, and very inspiring.........

We will have doors open on January 10th from 6 pm- 8:30 pm for everyone to stop by.  No appointment necessary on the Open House date. We are located in the Secor Building on the 7th Floor.  The Registry Bistro is located on the first floor of our building.  Parking can be found on the street near the building  also there is a a parking garage right across the street as well.

I really can't thank all of the wonderful people who have entered my life through photography!  This last year has been such a wonderful, exciting, growing year for me in my business.  When I decided to take my love of photography from my own personal interest to a business, I don't know if I could say I thought I would be where I am today!  A friend of mine had asked me last spring at a women's wellness weekend what made me start to love photography?  It took so many questions from her to get out of me where my passion came from.  After a lengthy conversation, she finally got it out of me.  I have no photographs of my life growing up.  I don't have a great memory of my childhood and youth, so it makes it hard for me to remember what I did or who I was.  I made a conscious decision when I had my daughter that I was going to photograph EVERYTHING in her life so that she could have all her memories in a photo.  As time went on, I just continued to love photography and realized I might be able to share my own personal passion with others for them to keep their memories for a lifetime.  So here I am today!  This year has just been FABULOUS!!!  I have done so many things and have grown leaps and bounds!   I thought about counting all the shoots that I did, but realized that would take me to long and I have a lot I should be working on.  I thought I would just give a quick overview of what I have done this year.  I put together a collection of photos that show a variety of the types of photos I did this year.  I did not put every family on this or every event I participated in, but feel this is a pretty good snapshot.  This year I was able to purchase a much nicer body for my camera and several lens.  These pieces of equipment were crucial for increasing my quality of work.  I was fortunate to take several photography classes from online services as well as spending a weekend in Chicago at a Photography Workshop from a fabulous Photographer. I changed my business name, I changed my logo, I changed my blog and website.  I shot my first weddings, I was asked to partake in several events for charities.  I took school team photographs, took high school play photographs on top of all my wonderful family shots, senior shots, newborn shots and of course all of my sibling shots.   I have spent so much time trying to perfect my post processing of my photos.  In looking through this collection of photos, I can see how I have grown in my quality of photography, what I like to do, what I am not that interested in doing and where I want to go!  When I decided to leave my corporate job 2 1/2 years ago, I wasn't sure if I made the best decision.  Today in 2013 with a thriving Photography Business and a new Photography Loft in Downtown Toledo, I can comfortably say I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION!!!!   I can't thank all the wonderful people in my life who have supported me, invited me into their homes and lives to share just a piece of them with me!  I hope to continue being a part of my clients lives for a very long time, through all the different exciting pieces of it!  I look forward to more challenges, to do different types of photography in my new loft and making 2013 an even better year!  Last but not least I NEVER could have done any of this with out my supporting husband.  He truly has been my biggest fan and I love him dearly for allowing me to be me!!!
