Winter Engagement Session

This Winter Engagement Session was so much fun!!  Having the snow in the photos really added a cool element!  Loved all their colors they picked and their playfulness.  The Bride to be liked the idea of a Woodsie look where the Groom to be wanted more of the Urban downtown setting, so we did both!!  They wanted to keep some of the photos a bit of a secret, so I was so lucky they let me use these ones to share!!  I was so happy with how they turned out and was just so excited to share!  You can see from the Snow throwing how the cake cutting is going to go at their wedding!!  Can't wait to see how stunning they both look at their Fall Wedding!!!  xoxoxoxoxo Rachel and Sean!!  This is the one of the best times of your life!!  ENJOY!!!!

{2013} Year in Review

Oh my goodness is all I can say!!! As I created this post of photos I was completely amazed by what 2013 has brought!  When I left my job in banking in 2010 I had no clue that this is where I would be in life.  I just knew Banking wasn't what I wanted to do when "I Grew Up".  My love of photography was just my way of documenting my life.  I had been taken photos since around the age of 12 and making scrapbooks and just wanting to keep memories of what I was up to.  Once I became a mom my Photography Love grew by leaps and bounds as I REALLY wanted to document everything.  My husband encouraged me in 2011 to take so classes both in person and online and to upgrade my equipment.  I decided to take a stab at sharing some of my photos and asking for volunteers to let me practice on them.  I have spent time learning several types of skills as well as learning all about different media outlets.  I have participated in forums. group chats, blogs, workshops, books, learning Photoshop and sooo much more.  One thing about me is I get bored very quickly.  So Photography has been so great for me because it is every evolving. there are so many facets to it and there is a TON of creative things you can do!  I took a leap of faith in 2013 and decided to rent a space in Downtown Toledo.  My family and I had went downtown to visit a local art gallery in November and a ton of things were going on.  There was the Farmers Market at Erie Street, a huge holiday parade and St. Clair has so many cool shops and places on it.  After we got home, I just felt like looking on craigslist for a possible Natural Light Studio (just for the fun of it, another thing about me is I am always dreaming, I MEAN ALWAYS) in the area.  I found a place that was pretty neat on Adams Street.  I reached out to owner and he set up for me to come visit the next day.  It wasn't quite what I was envisioning though.  He mentioned he had another building called The Secor Building and I might be interested.  It ended up have a ton of cool spaces that had a lot of Natural Light.  The one I wanted though was a little too big for just me and the pricing was more  than I wanted to pay.  I decided to reach out to a friend I had made at a Chicago Workshop who was also a Photographer and in Toledo to see if she wanted to share the space with me, She Said YES!!!  So as of January 2013 we had our own Natural Light Photography Loft in Downtown Toledo!!!  This was the beginning of 2013.  I had a really fun Open House to introduce all my clients to my new space and it was soooo much fun!  I had a year full of new things for me!  I taught Several Photography Workshops, Had some awesome write ups in local Newspapers, Mentored Students, Helped Aspiring Photographers buy new equipment, Did some Commercial Work, Did Family Sessions, Newborn Sessions, Baby Bump Sessions,  Senior Sessions, Headshots, Sibling Sessions, Worked with Natalie Pohrecki on some awesome Makeup Classes,  Did a Huge Shoot for Atlas Bridal,  Worked with Mindi Marshall and her team of Stella & Dot, Hired an Intern From the University of Toledo, Covered the Addy Jam for the Ad Club of Toledo,  Took Photos for the Adoption of a little girl into a wonderful family, Captured photos for a Golf Outing for a wonderful man who was taken from this earth way to early,  Loved capturing Photos for our Homecoming in Ottawa Hills, Did a ton of Cheerleading photos, had some really fun shoots with my kiddos and the trips we have been on in 2013.  I really could go on and on about how much I loved 2013, but I think the Photos below really do tell a story!

I am looking for 2014 being just as great if not better than 2013.

Thank you for being a part of my life and asking me to be a part of YOURS!!!!!!  xoxoxoxxo

Sincerely,

Crysta Jozsa of Crystal Jozsa Photography
