Why I started Photography!

I was goofing around with a few pictures I took last week and wanted to share some.  As I was going through these pictures of my daughter I was thinking about my past and how I got here!  I had a friend ask me awhile ago why or how I got into photography and what was the motivation behind it. It took a lot of back and forth conversations for me to really have a solid answer, but really it is below!  My daughter is who brought the excitement of photography out of me and allowed me to capture so much of our life for years to come. She made it easy and gave me a lot of joy from photographing her.  But really the motivation for me was I have very few photos of myself growing up and have little memory of my childhood.  So it began when Maddie came along for me to want to capture her life and it just grew from there!  She asked me to photograph her last week and of course I obliged easily.  Only a few more days till my kiddos are back in school and a better structure to come.  I am going to miss the easy, laid back days of summer but on the other hand looking forward to a more consistent type of day.

Fall will be here soon and I am already booking up a lot of September and October weekends!

Seniors are so much fun! Mr. Jacob Wagner!

I had the pleasure of taking this young mans Senior Pictures!  Not only is he an extremely talented young man, he is funny and a joy to be around!  We can't wait to see him once again in Ottawa Hills Music and Theatre this year!  I am hoping to hear him play his guitar in the Sound of Music as he is staring as Mr. Von Trapp!!  Going to be a great Senior year for him!!!

Such a beautiful Wedding!

When I started my business I never really had wedding in my mind as the type of photography that I would be providing.  I have done just a few small weddings thus far and am really loving them!  This particular ceremony was so beautiful and their vows were just awesome!!  It made me want to renew my vows with my husband!  Between the couple they had several children and grandchildren, it was such a beautiful, moving union of two people in love! I was so lucky to be able to capture this on film!

Fashionista Dance Wear!

I have really enjoyed partnering with Opening Night Dancewear!  They are a great store for all your dance, cheer and gymnastic needs!  From shoes, to clothing, to accessories they have it ALL!  I have been personally going to them for years and their selection has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years.  Their new location at Cricket West is so beautiful, two floors, floor to ceiling windows, it is quite the experience shopping there!  You can find additional information at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Opening-Night-Toledo! 

I was so excited to accept the job of photographing their back to school Fashion Show last week and you will see below a few shots from the event!  The young ladies that modeled were so darn cute and their clothing just as cute as them!

I was really excited to do this photo shoot!  I have known this family for quite some time as my daughter use to cheer with two of the girls and was really good friends with one of the young ladies in these pictures!  They were so easy to photograph as they are all so darling!  I just can't believe how fast time goes and how quickly our kids got so big!
